The acanthus leaf was used in much of Greek and Roman architectural design because of the beautiful scroll pattern. This aubusson pillow has variegated brown tones for the background. The leaves are cream and tan coordinated with colors of rust, a muted pink more like a soft, dusty salmon or coral. Burnt sienna and burnt umber are used to create shadowing and depth.
Gold capped bell tassel fringe in sage, olive green, gold and rust. A very good looking pillow. If the colors are right, you won't be disappointed.
The front is made of 100% wool and completely hand woven. The back is camel color cotton velvet with a zipper closure. Has a down and feather insert and measures approximately 17x25.
