Floral Aubusson Pillow, "Aubusson" is an ancient weaving style which developed in the Aubusson region of France. rather than weaving each thread all the way across the width of the roll, with an Aubusson, shorter threads are woven in to form the patterns.
The Aubusson method allows for the weaving of especially intricate patterns. This example is an Aubusson floral pillow, an excellent decorative throw pillow with onion fringe. Decorative pillows show Aubusson weaving off nicely, since you can see the "wrong side" through an open zipper.
It finishes approximately 14x20 and has a down and feather insert. As the name indicates, the border color of this aubusson is a wonderful moss green. The contrast between the green and the cream at the center makes this a very striking look. One of our favorite aubussons.
