Dark Horse Needlepoint Pillow In the 1960's I rode a horse like this, named Dapper Dan at Thomas' School of Horsemanship, Melville, Long Island, NY. I had the pleasure of riding many horses there, but my best ribbon was on Dapper Dan's back. (not saying much, I had horrible posture, but Dan was often a winner) Dan had a beautiful curly mane. Did you ride Dapper Dan? His Jump was peculiar. He was inclined to run right up to the obstacle and leaping straight up and over.
